The Charger wrestling club is welcoming youth of all ages to participate this fall to help in “building tradition” within the Corner Canyon wrestling program.

CCHS wrestling coach Jeff Eure and his staff will teach the fundamentals of the sport while helping instill self-confidence, discipline, concentration and coordination within each wrestler.

Signups are going on now with online registrations being taken through early December for ages pre-K through eighth grades for all skill levels.

Practices begin Oct. 27 in the Corner Canyon High School wrestling room with the season extending through the first week of February. The typical practice days will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. A calendar of practices and tournaments will be given at the first practice.

All participants must purchase a limited Folkstyle ($15) USA Wrestling Membership

https://www.usawmembership.com/login. For pre-K through third graders, the cost is $125 with practices scheduled from 7-7:45 p.m. The link for online registration is: https://canyons.revtrak.net/cc-wrestling-camp-prek-3rd-2020.

For fourth- through eighth-graders in beginning levels, the cost is $175 and those practices are scheduled for 7:45-8:45 p.m. That link is: https://canyons.revtrak.net/cc-wrestling-camp-4th-8th-beginners-2020

For advanced wrestlers with three or more years of experience in grades 4 through 8, the cost is $200 with practices to be held from 5:30-7 p.m. The link for online registration for that group is: https://canyons.revtrak.net/cc-wrestling-camp-4th-8th-advanced-2020.

A Charger wrestling T-shirt is included in the cost of registration. For more information on the Chargers wrestling club, contact CCHS head coach Jeff Eure at [email protected] or 801-826-6468.
