In a state finals against Weber High, Corner Canyon High’s coed unified basketball team came up short in a hard-fought game.  

The Chargers had secured the opportunity to play in the March 28 championship in their division at the Delta Center after advancing from the regional Canyons-Jordan-Murray school districts’ tournament.

Unified basketball embraces students with and without intellectual disabilities to play side by side. The program, supported by both Special Olympics Utah and the Utah High School Activities Association, now boasts more than 200 high school coed unified basketball teams across the state. λ
