Mondays, 10:30 a.m.                                         Ages 3 to 5 and an adult

Ready, Set, Move! Feet will be tapping and hands will be clapping! Everyone will be moving to the beat in this program full of music and movement.

 

Month of March                                                 Teens

Teen Tech Month. Look for tech activities this month at the library. Everyone who participates in Teen Tech Month will be entered into a drawing for a Best Buy gift card. Teens can get a $5 fine wavier for participating.

 

Through March 9                                              Ages 12 to 17

Teen Tech Month: Name That Video Console Contest. Drop by and test your knowledge about game consoles. How many games consoles can you identify? Fill out the form and return it to the information desk for a prize and to be entered into a drawing to win a bag of candy.

 

March 9, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.                               Ages 11 to 18

Teen Tech Craft and Photo Booth. Come celebrate Teen Tech Month by making cool CD scratch art. Stop by our "photo booth" where you can get your picture taken with some fun props.

 

March 11 through 16                                        Ages 12 to 17

Teen Tech Month: Technology Word Search. Pick up a form and see how many technology words you can find. Return it to the information desk for a prize and be entered into a drawing to win a bag of candy.

 

March 11 through 30                                        Teens

Teen Tech Month Photo Booth. Drop by the Draper teen area starting March 11 with your camera. We will have lots of cute props and you can take your picture with some props, your friends or maybe with your favorite book. (This activity does not earn a $5 waiver.)

 

March 11, 7 p.m.                                                Families

Family Game Night. Join us for game night at the library. There will be a wide variety of games for you to play with your family. Come by and have some fun. All ages are welcome.

 

Tuesdays, starting March 12                          Ages 2 to 5 and a participating adult

10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m.  

Wednesdays, starting March 13, 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m.

Storytime Station. All aboard for fun. Free tickets available 15 minutes before starting times. Arrive early—the “Storytime Station Express” departs on time. No late arrivals.

 

Wednesdays, starting March 13,                    Ages 2 ½ and under with an adult

10:15 a.m.                                           

Cuddle Time. Join us for songs, nursery rhymes and fun times in a storytime made especially for babies up to 2½ years with an adult. Learn about ways to help your child be ready to read when the time comes. Storytime lasts 15 minutes, followed by a 15-minute playtime.

 

March 15, 4 p.m.                                                Boys ages 7 to 11

No Girls Allowed. Snakes, snails and underwear tales. Worms, squirms and other fun stuff just for boys. A new activity each month. Pick up the schedule at the library. Free tickets available 15 minutes before the program begins. Please note age requirement. No younger siblings.

 

March 16, 4 p.m.                                                Adults

Square Foot Gardening. Now is the ideal time to learn about square foot gardening. Make gardening fun again. This class will get you started with the 10 basics so that you can grow a bounteous crop of delicious, fresh, totally organic produce.

 

March 18 through 30                                        Ages 11 to 18

Teen Tech Month: Geocache in the Library. Can you find the hidden items by following our clues? Complete the adventure in the library and earn your geocache reward. (A lava lamp.)

 

March 18, 7 p.m.                                                Families

Fun Flicks. A fun movie for the whole family. This month's movie is “Hotel Transylvania” (rated PG). Bring a pillow and a blanket.

 

March 20, 7 p.m.                                                Girls ages 8 to 12 and an adult

Great Reads for Girls: A Mother/Daughter Book Club. Join us for lively discussions, activities, friendship and fun. This month’s book is "Pie" by Sarah Weeks. Pick up a Great Reads schedule and the book at Draper Library. No younger siblings.

 

March 21, 4:15 p.m.                                          Ages 6 to 10

Terrific Thursday: Bubble Blast. You may not know this, but Thursdays are terrific. Explore the fragile and mysterious world of soap bubbles, blending art and science in magical fun. This interactive program features bubble art, bubble science, bubble contests, bubble dancing and bubble stories – an afternoon of bubble fun.

 

March 22, 4 p.m.                                                Ages 6 to 11

Origami. Do you like origami? Then you'll be ready to make a special origami project with Ginger, the Origami Lady.

 

March 23, 10:30 a.m. to noon                         Families

Read to the Dogs. Read to a gentle and well-trained Intermountain Therapy Animals R.E.A.D. dog. These dogs love to hear you read to them.

\ Fun for families with kids of all ages. Drop in anytime during the scheduled time. Please check in at the children’s desk first.

 

March 25 through 30                                        Ages 12 and under

Spring Has Sprung Scavenger Hunt. Pick up your first clue at the children’s desk all week. If you find all the answers, you will get a small prize.
