Firm partner Brad Schofield said the move to Murray has enabled firm attorneys to better reach clients from across the valley.
"We have a good central location. It's a good facility," he says. "It's in the big blue building by the freeway. We just signed a five-year lease to stay here. We have 15 attorneys, 15 staff members and good resources."

The firm's office hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. but Brad says attorneys are willing to meet with a client anytime, anywhere. Firm attorneys even give out their personal cell phone numbers to allow clients to call whenever they have a need.
"We're willing to travel anywhere in the state to meet with clients," Brad says. "We can meet at a client's house."
Smart, Schofield, Shorter & Lunceford is also willing to work with clients on repayment plans and schedules, something not all firms offer.
"Sometimes we get burned by people but it's worth it to those who pay," he says. "We're trying to help people out. We also give pro-bono service to people when they otherwise couldn't get help."
