St. John's Pumpkin

168 days ago126 views

“Smash out Drugs” was a smashing successful Red Ribbon Week theme in October at St. John the Baptist Elementary School. When students brought in more than 1,500 cans of food for the church parish food pantry, they were treated to a pumpkin smashing of a 100-pound pumpkin that was grown in the school garden. The students also sold raffle tickets for other pumpkins that were grown in the garden. That money went to the food pantry as well. (Photo provided by Bob Mutz.)
