If you’re craving a trip to the Orient but only have an hour for lunch, make a stop at Fong’s Fine Chinese Dining at 877 East 12300 South. Chinese favorites combined with owner Fong Wu’s latest creations await patrons for lunch and dinner.

Fresh ingredients and traditional Chinese cooking methods make Fong’s the place for your ultimate Asian dining experience, no passport necessary.

“Everything we cook is fresh, we only use the best meats and vegetables in our dishes,” Fong says. “We use a lot of traditional Chinese ingredients to keep the recipes authentic.”

Favorites like Fuji Beef, General Tao’s Chicken and Vegetable Delight are just a few of the flavorful choices you might already be aware of. But new dishes like Hong Kong Pepper Steak, Mango Chicken and Treasure of the North Ocean, intrigue the mind while making your mouth water. With a wide variety of pork, shrimp, beef, chicken, and vegetable dishes, there is plenty to satisfy every craving.

Need something to start off your meal? Try one of Fong’s tasty appetizers and soups. Cream cheese wontons, egg rolls, sweet and sour soup and pot stickers are just a few of the choices for a quick snack or the perfect way to begin your Asian dining “vacation.”

Fong has spent the last 20 years in the restaurant business since he came from China and has been honing his skills at some of the finest Chinese restaurants in Utah and California. His recipes have come from his experiences with different cooking styles. Szechuan and Cantonese cooking methods are mixed with traditional Chinese ways to create unique flavor combinations and a new twist on some old favorites.

The staff at Fong’s is friendly and dedicated to making its customers experience great. Whether it’s a quick lunch break or a casual family dinner, customers have repeatedly made Fong’s their place for Chinese in the south valley for the last five years.

“I like to come out and meet the friends that I am serving,” Fong says. “I love cooking and sharing the things I’ve learned with my loyal customers.”

As summer starts to heat up, Fong’s will be featuring some summer specials. Street vendor-style food like noodle bowls and Asian style barbeque spare ribs is popular all over the Orient and Fong says he’s bringing this unique style to his customers this summer. Also on the menu this summer is an Asian grilled chicken salad and Peking boneless spare ribs.

Fong’s Fine Chinese Dining is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday from noon to 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. For more information about Fong’s diverse menu, visit the website at www.fongatdraper.com or call 801-542-8004.
