Eagle Point has 600 acres, 40 name runs and it's just 3-1/2 hours south of Salt Lake City. It's located high in the Tushar Mountains beyond Beaver, and it draws skiers from southern Utah as well as California and Arizona.

The resort is open to the public every Friday through Monday. But what about all that good snow on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday? Why should it go to waste? Powder hounds say it has powder long after a storm.

You can rent the entire resort and all its amenities for yourself or your group says Shane Gadbaw, owner and CEO of Eagle Point Resort. “Groups may range from exclusive individuals jetting in for the day to have the mountain to themselves, to national organizations, like Love Your Melon, which is hosting a leadership summit for its top talent this March," he says.

Love Your Melon is an apparel brand dedicated to improving the lives of children battling cancer and engaging college students across the country to make a difference in their communities.

Historically, the ski area opened in the early 70s and operated at Mt. Holly until 2002. Later it became Elk Meadows. Eagle Point Resort was reintroduced to the public in 2010.

The current owners, three friends from outside the ski industry, envisioned a boutique resort with challenging and enjoyable terrain, modern amenities, lively entertainment and top standards in guest service. Eagle Point Resort has been a best kept secret.
