Draper Philharmonic & Choral Society reprises its annual performances of Rob Gardner’s oratorio, “Lamb of God,” this month with an audience sing-along following the matinee.

The audience at a special sing-along performance of Draper Philharmonic & Choral Society’s production of “Lamb of God” sang some of their favorite songs from the oratorio in 2025. Director Sherri Jensen explained that there will be a sing-along once again this year, following the matinee performance. “We are working on starting a tradition as has been established with Handel’s ‘Messiah’ where the audience sings some of the most beloved songs,” she said. These include pieces such as “Hosanna,” “Make Me Whole,” “Sometime We'll Understand” and the “Resurrection.” "Lamb of God" was the first piece that Draper Philharmonic & Choral Society ever performed back in 2017. Since then, composer Rob Gardner's dramatic musical portrayal of the final days of the life of Jesus has become an annual tradition. This year, Draper Philharmonic & Choral Society will present "Lamb of God" on March 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. on the stage of Corner Canyon High School, 12943 S. 700 East in Draper. There is also a 3 p.m. matinee on the 21st followed by the sing-along. “We hope to fill the hall with our younger teen friends,” Jensen added. Church youth groups can receive discounted tickets to the matinee performance by reaching out to Draper Philharmonic & Choral Society via its website, www.draperphilharmonic.org. Tickets, which range from $12 to $30 may also be purchased on the website. (Photo courtesy of Draper Philharmonic & Choral Society)
